Discover this National Historic Site of Canada perched on the shores of Stuart Lake. Fort St. James is a restored Hudson’s Bay Company post and is home to the largest collection of log buildings from the time of the 1800’s fur trade. Open for the summer season, the site tells the stories of the fur traders and the Carrier Sekani First Nation.
Camping onsite or an overnight stay in the Murray House bed and breakfast will transport you back to 1896. Also, don’t miss the world famous chicken races and the tasty treats served at the Home Stretch Diner!
