Birch Bark Jewelry with Janice Baker & Wen Haoyu

Join Janice & Wen at Two Rivers Gallery for a lovely evening of creating woven knot earrings and a birch bark and antler flower brooch.

Janice Baker is a third-generation Canadian of mixed European heritage, with a strong connection to her Norwegian roots. She enjoys time spent in the bush, foraging and harvesting and using natural materials in her art.

Wen is a grad student in UNBC and cross-cultural newcomer to Northern BC from Southwestern China. She wishes to share about her ways of cherishing the beauties of nature and finding connections in landscapes—a birch bark knot inspired by her cultural roots- Chinese knotting.
