Canada Day is one week away, and there is a ton to see and do at Northern Routes sites to celebrate the holiday!
Huble Homestead
Celebrate Canada Day - or as it was known then, Dominion Day - the old-fashioned way at Huble Homestead! Enjoy a pancake breakfast, barbecue lunch, complimentary cake, and a petting zoo in addition to all of the other attractions and charm Huble Homestead has to offer.
Barkerville
Another Dominion Day celebration, but a few decades earlier and a few kilometers south. One of Barkerville's biggest days of the year, Dominion Day features an opening parade down main street followed by special games and activities to mark the occasion, on top of everything else BC's Gold Rush town has to offer on a normal day.
The Exploration Place
It is always the right time to go to the Exploration Place, but with Prince George's Canada Day celebration taking place right next door at Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park a stop at the museum is a no-brainer. Take a break from the park and cool off inside where you can check out the summer Dinosaurs of BC Exhibit, explore the hands-on Explorations Gallery, and get a bite to eat.
Valemount and Area Museum
Head to the Valemount legion for a pancake breakfast from 8 am to 10:30, then head over to the museum and library for an afternoon of games, music, cake and more!
